TEACHER
Debra has 500 hr YTT with Black Hills Yoga School. She looks for radiance and beauty in each student's practice. Each class is intended as an opportunity to use breath and movement for students to connect deeply to mind and body leaving class feeling awesome in their bodies. Debra loves the quote, "Tell me, what is it that you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" by Mary Oliver.
MELANIE PALM
TEACHER
Melanie has been a yoga teacher for over 35 years. As a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, a Certified International Association of Yoga Therapists (1200 hr), a Phoenix Rising Yoga Life Mentor, Emotional Resolution Instructor, a lifelong student of the body and energy medicine, she appreciates being part of the Yoga Studio and helping students deepen profound presence with themselves and others.
LEXI BERRY
TEACHER
Lexi has a 200 hr training with Black Hills Yoga School, is certified in Buti Yoga, and has 12 hours of Kids Yoga training. She is approximately 10 years into her own personal practice and she loves all things yoga. She enjoys encouraging her students to approach their mats with childlike curiosity.
MELODY FRANCIS ERYT500
TEACHER
Melody is a BHS, LMT and AdvCBP who has trained in many therapeutic modalities in both Western and Eastern medicines. Melody knows that all koshas (layers) of a person's psyche are vital to the welfare of the whole. Melody owns her own private bodywork and massage practice. She enjoys both the group aspect of yoga and the private interaction of the one-on-one.
JOHN MURPHY
TEACHER
John has been teaching at the Yoga Studio since it began with 4 students in Spa 80. Notwithstanding his persistent insubordination and general incompetence, he's managed to avoid getting fired through multiple owners. His yoga studies began at a Kundalini school in New York in the mid-80's and since has done multiple Para Yoga Master Trainings with Rod Stryker, completed the 200 hr Black Hills Yoga School training, a 100 hr Anusara Immersion, and many workshops around the country. He also admits to shamelessly stealing sequences and cues from "the vixen of vinyasa" and "queen of core". When not engaged in yoga, he is a lawyer, father, husband, and grandfather.
BRITTNEY LYSTAD
TEACHER
Brittney started practicing yoga in 2011 and continued practicing throughout college. She attended her first teacher training in the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica during a 30 day immersive YTT. She completed 200 hours of training and when she returned, found the Yoga Studio. She has been teaching since 2017 and loves the diversity found within the yoga community.
